Frequently asked questions
How courses, CEUs, knowledge checks, and certificates work here. If something isn't covered, email support@unifiedvisions.com.
Buying and watching
How do I buy a course? Create an account, open the course you want, and use the buy button. Payment is handled by Stripe, so we never see or store your card details. Each course is a one-time purchase; there is no subscription.
How long do I have access? There's no time limit on a purchase. Once you've bought a course it stays in your library and you can rewatch it as often as you like, for as long as the course remains available on the site.
Can I watch on my phone? Yes. Courses stream in the browser on desktop, tablet, and mobile. There's no app to install.
Can I share my login or the video? No. A purchase is for one person. Video is delivered through short-lived signed links, and sharing your account or attempting to download and redistribute course content is grounds for having access revoked.
CEUs and ACE approval
Are these courses BACB approved? Unified Visions LLC is an approved BACB ACE Provider (OP-25-12275). Courses that carry continuing education credit list their CEU breakdown on the course page before you buy: Learning CEUs, and where applicable Ethics and Supervision CEUs.
What kinds of CEUs do you offer? Ethics, Supervision, and General Learning CEUs. Total Learning CEUs are the sum of those three amounts.
What is the delivery method? All courses are online and asynchronous: recorded, self-paced, and available whenever you are. That's the delivery method printed on your certificate.
Do I have to report these myself? Yes. We issue the certificate; you keep it and report your CEUs to the BACB as part of your own recertification cycle. Hold on to your certificates. We keep a record of every one we issue, but the responsibility for reporting is yours.
Do some courses offer no CEUs? Some do. Those are marked as such on the course page, have no knowledge check, and issue a certificate of completion once you've watched the course.
Earning a certificate
For a course carrying continuing education credit, the BACB requires that we verify both attendance and comprehension. Two things have to happen:
- Watch at least 95% of the course. Your furthest point is tracked automatically, so you don't have to finish in one sitting and rewatching a section costs you nothing. Progress is credited against real playback time, so skipping to the end won't complete a course.
- Score at least 80% on the knowledge check. A short set of questions on the course material, taken on the course page after you've watched.
Courses that carry no CEUs skip the knowledge check entirely. Watching the course is enough.
Why haven't I received my certificate? Your certificate can't be issued until your certificant details are on file: your full name exactly as the BACB has it, and your BACB certification number. Add them on your certificates page and anything you've already earned will be issued right away.
The knowledge check
How many questions are there? Three questions for every half CEU the course carries, so a 1-CEU course has six questions and a 3-CEU course has eighteen. Questions may be multiple choice, true/false, or short answer.
What's a passing score? 80% or better.
What if I don't pass? You can retake it. Attempts are limited to five scored attempts per course in any 24-hour period; after that you can try again the next day. There's no lifetime cap and no penalty for a failed attempt, so go back and rewatch the section you need.
Is it timed? No. Take as long as you need, and refer back to the course while you answer.
Getting your certificate
How is it delivered? As soon as you meet both requirements, your certificate is generated and emailed to you as a PDF. It's also permanently available on your certificates page, so you can download a fresh copy any time.
What's on it? Your name and BACB certification number, the course title and instructor, the completion date, the delivery method, the CEU breakdown, the ACE provider name and number, and a unique serial number.
My name or BACB number is wrong. Correct them on your certificates page and download the certificate again. It's regenerated from your current details each time. Because these details are self-reported, please double-check them against your BACB record before you rely on the certificate.
How long do you keep records? We retain completion and knowledge-check records for seven years, as BACB ACE providers are required to.
Refunds and cancellations
Can I get a refund? Email support@unifiedvisions.com and tell us what went wrong. If a course was mis-sold, wouldn't play, or you bought it by mistake, we'll refund the purchase in full. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Once a certificate has been issued, the purchase is final. Earning a certificate means you completed the course, and a certificate we've issued is never withdrawn or invalidated. Because of that, a course is no longer refundable once its certificate has been issued to you.
What if a refund is issued? Access to that course ends and it leaves your library. Any certificate you had already earned for it remains valid and stays available to you.
Technical help
The video won't play. Refresh the page first. Playback links are short-lived, and a page left open overnight will need a new one. If that doesn't fix it, try a different browser and check that your network doesn't block video streaming.
My progress didn't save. Progress is recorded as you watch and only ever moves forward. If a session doesn't seem to have counted, reopen the course and your furthest point should still be there.
I didn't get an email. Check your spam folder for mail from our sending domain, then email support@unifiedvisions.com and we'll resend it.
Still stuck? Email support@unifiedvisions.com with the course name and what you're seeing, and we'll take a look.
